AVID TESOL Academy is a teacher training center offering teacher education courses and programs for English language teachers. AVID TESOL was established in 2007 as a department at AVID School of English training its teachers, and in 2018, it started offering international TEFL and TESOL courses helping teachers around the world dream bigger and go international. At AVID, teachers from early stages learn the concept of ‘principled creativity’ and practice effective creative teaching. This new perspective onto language teaching and learning is our distinguishing feature. In today’s digital age, having a strong e-resume and presence on social media is a must for career success. Head teachers or recruitment agencies often use social media to screen and evaluate applicants. A well-crafted e-resume highlighting one’s relevant skills, experience, and achievements can increase the chances of securing a great teaching position. We encourage out TESOL graduates to have a professional social media presence showcasing their ELT knowledge, expertise and networking skills.
TESOL Graduates Writing Blogs & Creating Content
One of the elective tasks assigned to our TESOL graduates involves creating blog posts, designing audio and video lessons. Depending on their interests, candidates can develop a flipped lesson’s content in the form of a blog, audio, or video. Subsequently, they can upload their lessons to either their social media accounts or the AVID TESOL YouTube channel. This exercise provides an opportunity for TESOL graduates to showcase their creativity, teaching skills, and technological aptitude while also contributing to the wider TESOL community through their content.
